Internal Auditing - ISO 14001

ISO 14001 Paragraph 4.5.4 requires Internal Auditing of the Environmental Management System to:

a) Determine whether or not the EMS:

1) Conforms to planned arrangements for environmental management, including the requirements of this Standard

2) has been properly implemented and maintained, and

b) Provide Information on results of audits to management

Quality Basics

This is a new program developed by ASQ. It is a 4 hour instructor-led program dedicated to basic quality awareness & competency.

This program was also created to help companies satisfy Section 6.2.2 resource management requirements of the new ISO 9001:2000 standards which cover competence, awareness & training.

This program can be used for new employee orientation or for building a common quality culture throughout an organization.

Statistics and Statistical Process Control

This course is the NO SWEAT Statistics training program developed by Excel Training, inc.

This 4 unit training program features video and examples from industries such as mining, food processing, aerospace, packaging and others. Testimonials from quality assurance professionals show how SPC works in non-traditional settings.

This course also has a participants guide which includes pre- and post-test questions to

demonstrate learning gain (Section 6.2.2 requirements), numerous classroom activities to reinforce the concepts.

Specifications

Audience: Operators, first-line supervisors. Good refresher training for engineers

Training Time: 16 hours

Prerequisites: Basic math, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Ideally, the audience will have some familiarity with traditional statistical process control practices and control charts. In this way, they will be able to differentiate between traditional SPC and the application of SPC in the process industries.

Training Design: Performance-based instruction. The video and print materials are interactive, requiring active participation by students.
